Egypt to host UfM Ministerial Conference on Environment, Climate Action next month
Egypt will bring ministers from the 42 Member countries of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM) together to attend the 2nd UfM Ministerial Conference on Environment and Climate Action.
The Ministerial Conference will be chaired by European Commission, and Jordan’s Ministry of Environment, in the presence of the UfM Secretary General Nasser Kamel.
The conference will be hosted by Egypt as it will take place in Cairo on October 4.
The 2021 UfM Ministerial on Environment and Climate Action side event on “Investing in the green Transition: A Mediterranean Outlook”, will take place on 4 October 2021 at 14:30 (12:30 GMT). This event will look into trends, opportunities, and tools to make the green transition in the Mediterranean possible.
The Union for the Mediterranean is an intergovernmental institution bringing together the European Union member states and 15 countries from the Southern and Eastern shores of the Mediterranean to promote dialogue and cooperation.
