Hesham Maged, managing director of the Care Plus Company and member of the Egyptian Association for Health Care Administration, said a meeting will be held between the Association and the Insurance Federation of Egypt (IFE) to discuss possible methods for bringing the cooperation protocol into effect on November 14th.
A meeting was held last month between representatives from both parties as they discussed methods to solve the obstacles facing the activation of the protocol as there are no laws regulating the relationship between the healthcare and insurance companies, Maged added.
Insurance and healthcare companies were asked to offer their suggestions about the standards of Third Party Administrators to be registered at the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA).
It is worth mentioning that a protocol of cooperation was signed by IFE and the Egyptian Association for Health Care Administration last April.
