Egypt reports record $6 billion Suez Canal revenues as of first half of Dec

Egypt’s revenues from the Suez Canal recorded $6 billion from January until the first half of December, the highest level ever, said the canal’s authority chairman Osama Rabie on Sunday.

This year, the navigation rates have been very promising, Rabie added.

In November, the vital waterway recorded revenues of $571.3 million, marking the highest monthly level ever.  It also broke its highest monthly tonnage record with 113.5 million tonnes in November.
