Egypt’s government to revise GDP growth forecast next month – minister
Egypt’s government plans to revise the country’s economic growth forecasts by next month to calculate the economic impact of global shocks, Bloomberg Al-Sharq reported quoted Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed as saying on Wednesday.
In March, Egypt lowered its expectation for real GDP growth for the financial year 2022/2023 – which started 1 July – to 5.5 percent, down from 5.7 percent expected in January, citing the effects of Russia’s war in Ukraine.
