Judiciary Court Orders Rebroadcasting Dream TV’s Channels

The Seventh Circuit in Egypt’s Judiciary Administrative Court, headed by Judge Hasouna Tawfiq-Vice Chairman of the State Council- has returned a verdict of rebroadcasting Dream TV’s channels.

The lawyer Gaber Gad Nasar has filed a lawsuit in order to cancel the decision of stopping the broadcast of Dream TV’s channel. And it called for rebroadcasting from the studios in Dream Land, owing to the high costs spent on the channel’s preparations.

The lawsuit No. 9098 of 1967 is against the minister of information, the chairman of the General Authority for Investment (GAFI), chairman of Egyptian Radio and Television Union (ERTU), and the chairman of Egyptian Satellite Company (Nilesat).

It is worth mentioning that, it was claimed that the channel’s service was halted because its production facilities, Dream Land City, are located outside Egyptian Media Production City, violating Law 13/1979. The channel had received a six-year exception to the clause from former Information Minister Anas al-Fiqqi, which ends Friday.
