Egypt, Qatar mull joint investment fund launch – Egyptian minister
Egypt and Qatar are exploring plans to form a joint investment fund, Egyptian Planning Minister Hala al-Saeed told Bloomberg Al Sharq on Tuesday.
The plans were announced on the sidelines of a meeting between Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly and Qatari Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Qatar on Monday.
As part of the Egyptian delegation’s visit to Qatar, the two countries signed on Monday a dual taxation elimination agreement aimed at boosting investment from the Gulf Arab state in North African nation.
Qatar’s prime minister said the taxation agreement would have a “tangible” impact on boosting and encouraging investments from his country.
