The Plastic Division, at the Chamber of Chemical Industries, is organizing an expanded conference in the upcoming period, in the presence of Hatem Saleh, Egyptian Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade. The conference will comprise all the representatives of the companies and factories operate in the sector. This conference aims at acquainting the representatives with new institute that the chamber will establish in order to train new cadres.
Dr Emad EL Shafei, CEO of the Plastic Industry Institute, told Amwal Al Ghad that the institute’s role is not only graduating scholars, but also it will give courses for engineers, technicians and workers of plastic factories in Egypt, in a way that contribute to enhancing their qualifications.
He added that the study in the institute will include two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part will be inside the institute, while the practical training will be inside the factories. The institute will bestow accredited certificates from the Egyptian Ministry of Education, and the Italian institute of CosmoPlast, which will be a partner in management.
The Plastic Division, at the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), has signed a cooperation protocol with Efficient Production Department, and the Egyptian Plastic Exporters and Manufacturers Association (EPEMA) to establish an institute for plastic industry in Al Abbasya, at an initial cost of EGP 15 million.
