The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities has extended the working hours for Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the Giza Plateau starting Eid.
The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir will extend the working hours from 9 am to 7 pm rather than 5 pm, starting Friday.
The Giza Plateau will be open from 7 am to 6 pm instead of 5 pm starting from the first of May.
The secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, Mostafa Waziri, said that the decision has been taken to be able to meet the large number of visitors.
According to Waziri, tourist agencies have been informed of the new schedules to change their visiting programmes.
The Eid holiday in Egypt will run from the 20th to the 25th of April.
