United States market briefing 18/05/2023

The United States market closed high on Wednesday with the Dow rising by 1.24 percent to close at 33,420.77. It gained 408.63 points, recording a day high value of 33,472.38 and a day low value of 33,050.41.

NASDAQ soared by 1.28 percent and gained 157.51 points to close at 12,500.57. It recorded a day high value of 12,514.07 and a day low value of 12,335.02.

S&P 500 inched up by 1.19 percent to 4,158.77 and gained 48.87 points. The index recorded a day high value of 4,164.67 and a day low value of 4,113.62.
