Egypt holds bicycle marathon at New Administrative Capital

Egypt’s Ministry of Youth and Sports held a bicycle marathon in the New Administrative Capital (NAC) on Wednesday in celebration of World Bicycles Day.

World Bicycles Day is celebrated on the third of June to emphasise the benefits of bicycles as sustainable and affordable means of transportation that are environmentally friendly.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Ashraf Sobhy, invited people of all ages to participate in the marathon saying that transportation will be provided to the NAC from Nasr City.

The New Administrative Capital is located between the Cairo-Suez and Cairo-Ain Sokhna roads, 60 km east of downtown Cairo.
