Putin: over 80% of trade between Russia, China carried out in Rubles, Yuan
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that 80 percent of China’s trade transactions are in yuan and ruble, noting that the risks of global economic crises are rising.
Putin added at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) summit that Russia was seeking to strengthen cooperation with the Shanghai Organisation’s countries in the areas of security and trade.
Russia faced sanctions and challenges through the unity of its internal front, resisted with confidence and would resist sanctions and external pressure, according to the President’s statement.
The United States and the European Union have imposed unprecedented economic sanctions on Russia against the backdrop of its invasion of Ukraine from February 2022.
