Egypt mulls to establish logistic zone on border with Libya

Egypt plans to establish a new logistic zone near El Salloum, a city in Marsa Matrouh governorate on the western borders with Libya, according to Asharq Business reported on Thursday.

President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said, during a meeting with the residents of Marsa Matrouh that there are many projects will implement there, whether in terms of ports or the fast train that will reach El Salloum city.

Under the plans, a desalination plant in the city will increase capacity to provide more water to residents, most of whom are low-income Bedouin, a Matrouh governor statement said.
