Egypt’s Banque Misr to transform Kenya rep office into branch in 3 years

Egypt’s second largest public bank, Banque Misr announced on Tuesday plans to transform its representative office in Kenya into branch operations within three years.

The Egyptian lender aims to expand its presence in East Africa by launching a branch in Somalia and a subsidiary in Djibouti.

In December 2022, Banque Misr has been the first bank in Africa and the Middle East to obtain three ISO certificates for quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems in the administrative sector issued by the International Leading Company, EURO CERT.
