The value of bilateral trade between Egypt and Sudan grew by 18.70 percent to reach $1.40 billion in 2022, from $1.20 billion in 2021, according to data from the Central Agency for Public Mobilisation and Statistics (CAPMAS) showed on Tuesday.
Egyptian exports to Sudan valued at $929.2 million during the January-December 2022 period, compared to $826.8 million in 2021, recording an increase of 12.4 percent, the data added.
However, Egypt’s imports from Sudan hiked by 32.10 percent year-on-year to $509.40 million in 2022, compared to $385.6 million in 2021, remarking an increase of 32.1 percent.
