Egypt awarded four blocks in an oil and gas exploration bid round to a number of international companies, said the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources on Tuesday.
The blocks offered for concessions are in the Mediterranean and Nile Delta, the ministry said. The companies include Italy’s Eni, BP, QatarEnergy, and Russia’s Zarubezhneft.
Eni is set to take two blocks by itself and a third in a coalition with BP and QatarEnergy. While Russia’s Zarubezhneft was awarded the remaining block.
