EGX closes in green on Sept 18

Egypt’s stock exchange (EGX) closed in green on Wednesday, with the main index, EGX30 going up by 0.61 per cent, to 30,342.46 points.

The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.20 per cent, to 2,879.64 points.

The small to mid-size enterprises’ index, EGX70 surged by 1.16 per cent, to 7,070.08 points.

The index, EGX100 index gained 1 per cent, to 10,087.23 points.

The total market capitalisation reached 2,059,274,246,483 Egyptian pounds.

Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 1,121,351,489 Egyptian pounds and 4,720,921,349 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were sellers with total of 5,842,272,838 Egyptian pounds.

Top risers

  1. Shares of Alexandria New Medical Center (AMES.CA) climbed by 19.94 per cent, to close at the price of 8.360 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of October Pharma (OCPH.CA) hiked by 18.81 per cent, to trade at the price of 139.340 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Nozha International Hospital (NINH.CA)  jumped by 14.43 per cent, to the purchasing price of 6.980 Egyptian pounds a share.

Top fallers

  1. Shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment (ANFI.CA) sank by 11.25 per cent, to close at 25.960 Egyptian pounds a share.
  2. Shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment (KWIN.CA) dived by 8.89 per cent, to close at the price of 35.350 Egyptian pounds a share.
  3. Shares of Egyptian Arabian Company Themar for Securities Brokerage SAE (EASB.CA) shed by 8.33 per cent, to close at 4.620 Egyptian pounds a share.
