Egypt’s NFSA, Fixed Misr sign strategic partnership for digital food safety monitoring

Egypt’s National Food Safety Authority (NFSA) signed on Sunday a strategic partnership with Fixed Egypt for Digital Solutions and Information Security – Fixed Misr (FEDIS) to develop and automate the food monitoring system in the local market. The initiative is part of the NFSA’s 2023–2026 strategic plan to enhance regulatory efficiency through an integrated digital platform.

The platform will streamline food establishment registration, inspection, and certification processes while ensuring compliance with local and international food safety standards. It will also improve transparency and communication among producers, regulators, and consumers, promoting greater awareness of food safety.

The partnership aims to boost trade, support food exports, and strengthen consumer trust by ensuring secure and efficient food safety monitoring. Fixed Misr will provide advanced technology solutions to ensure the success of the project, showcasing effective public-private sector (PPP) collaboration.
