Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mixed on Wednesday, December 25, 2024. The main index, EGX30 went up by 0.11 per cent, to 30,005 points.
The Shariah index, EGX33, sunk by 0.05 per cent, to 3,080.87 points.
The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 0.24 per cent, to 8,210.21 points.
The index, EGX100 index soared by 0.21 per cent, to 11,275.97 points.
The total market cap reached 2,192,481,365,853 Egyptian pounds.
The Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 11,987,655,697 Egyptian pounds and 356,578,445 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 12,344,234,142 Egyptian pounds.
Top gainers on Wednesday
- Mena Touristic & Real Estate Investment (MENA.CA) shares rose by 10.34 per cent, to close at the price of 3.950 Egyptian pounds a share.
- South Cairo & Giza Mills & Bakeries (SCFM.CA) shares climbed by 9.02 per cent, to trade at the price of 59.100 Egyptian pounds a share.
- El Nasr Clothes & Textiles (Kabo) (KABO.CA) shares jumped by 8.22 per cent, to the purchasing price of 3.820 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Wednesday
- National Housing for Professional Syndicates (NHPS.CA) shares fell by 15.71 per cent, to close at 55.210 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Rubex International for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing (RUBX.CA) shares dropped by 7.38 per cent, to close at the price of 9.410 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Minapharm Pharmaceuticals (MIPH.CA) shares declined by 5.61 per cent, to close at 180.520 Egyptian pounds a share.
