Sumitomo Global Chairman praised the company’s Egypt-made products, which are shipped daily bearing the “Made in Egypt” label, saying they boost vehicle efficiency across Europe and beyond and reflect the excellence of Egyptian industry, according to a Cabinet statement on Tuesday.
Speaking at the inauguration of SE Wiring Systems Egypt S.A.E.’s new plant in 10th of Ramadan City on Tuesday, the chairman said the company has witnessed remarkable growth and development in Egypt over the past 17 years, and was proudly celebrating the launch of its latest state-of-the-art factory.
“We are proud of the talented team we have and grateful for their dedication and hard work,” he said.
Company’s Journey
The chairman reviewed the company’s journey in Egypt, noting that SE Wiring Systems has become a global leader in automotive wiring systems, driven by innovation, quality, and excellence.
He recalled the company’s expansion into Egypt in 2008, marking what he described as a significant chapter in its long-standing history. “Today we proudly celebrate another milestone with the opening of our advanced facility in 10th of Ramadan. This achievement affirms our commitment to expanding industrial activity and contributing to Egypt’s economic growth.”
“Our journey in Egypt has been exceptional in every way,” he added, expressing gratitude for the continued support from the Egyptian people, government, and all public officials, which he said played a pivotal role in facilitating the company’s business growth.
He reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting local communities and workforce development, saying, “We have always aimed to be a distinguished company known for its contributions to both society and the economy.”
Egyptian Government Support
The chairman extended thanks to Egyptian Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly for the government’s continued support, which he said has helped build a strong, trust-based partnership with Egypt. He pledged to deepen this cooperation in the coming period and ensure its continued success.
“Our company remains committed to contributing meaningfully to Egypt’s growth and prosperity,” he said. “I am confident that together, we can achieve remarkable accomplishments.”
He noted that the company currently employs about 12,000 workers in Egypt and operates in three cities: Port Said, 6th of October, and 10th of Ramadan. He concluded by highlighting the company’s workforce as the cornerstone of its success, reiterating pride in their skills and commitment.
