Egypt’s Minister of Planning and Economic Development Rania Al-Mashat reviewed the implementation progress of the National Structural Reform Programme during Wednesday’s Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly.
The programme includes 152 reform measures carried out by 18 government bodies and focuses on three main axes: macroeconomic stability and resilience, competitiveness and business environment, and green transformation, she explained.
Al-Mashat also presented the timeline for the second phase of the Macro-financial Assistance and Budget Support Mechanism (MFA), detailing the measures undertaken so far, as per a Cabinet statement.
The minister highlighted ongoing negotiations with the European Commission and noted the feedback received from national authorities on the draft measures proposed by the Commission, the statement added.
