Eight distinguished Egyptian figures were honoured with Lifetime Achievement Awards at the 2025 Amwal Al Ghad Awards ceremony on Monday, recognising their enduring contributions to Egypt’s economic, social, and cultural development.
The recipients of this year’s award are:
- Mona Zulficar, leading legal expert and human rights advocate
- Azza Fahmy, pioneering jewellery designer and entrepreneur
- Dr. Ghada Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC)
- Ambassador Moushira Khattab, former Minister of Family and Population
- Dr. Hala H. Elsaid, former Minister of Planning and Economic Development
- Ambassador Nabila Makram, former Minister of State for Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs
- Lobna Hilal, former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE)
- Yousriya Loza Sawiris, renowned philanthropist and Founder of Sawiris Foundation for Social Development
The awards were presented during a ceremony at the Four Seasons Nile Plaza in Cairo, where organisers praised the honourees for their lifelong dedication to advancing Egypt’s national priorities, from economic reform and financial inclusion to social justice, education, and cultural preservation.
Amwal Al Ghad launched the Lifetime Achievement Award category to spotlight exceptional individuals whose careers have left a lasting impact on Egypt’s progress across multiple fields.
