Egypt confirms stable air traffic despite regional closures

Egypt’s airspace is fully operational, with air traffic operating safely and regularly at all airports despite temporary closures in neighbouring countries due to regional developments, the Ministry of Civil Aviation announced.

The ministry said it had raised the state of alert at all Egyptian airports to the highest level in anticipation of potential rerouted flights. All operational, technical, and staffing capacities are fully prepared to accommodate such diversions.

Full coordination is underway with all airlines operating in Egypt to ensure smooth flight operations and uphold the highest standards of service and safety, according to the statement.

The situation is being monitored around the clock through the ministry’s central operations and crisis management rooms, in full coordination with relevant national authorities, as stated in the release.
