Egypt have accepted an invitation from Mali to play a friendly game next month, Ahram Sports reported on Tuesday.
The game should take place on 14 August in either Egypt or Morocco after the Pharaohs’ American coach Bob Bradley gave the Egyptian Football Association the green light to hold the match, the report added.
Bradley has turned down an invitation from Jordan to play a friendly one week earlier, given that the international players of Cairo giants Ahly and Zamalek will not be available due to African Champions League commitments.
Egypt have secured a place in the World Cup qualifiers play-off after ensuring they would finish on top of Group G with one game to spare.
The African draw for the final round involving the 10 group winners will be made on 16 September in Cairo.
