Egypt signs veterinary training protocol to boost sector skills

Egypt’s Ministry of Agriculture, represented by the Animal Health Research Institute (AHRI), on Wednesday signed a cooperation protocol with the Veterinarians Syndicate to train veterinary professionals across the country, as per an official report.

The agreement follows directives from Agriculture Minister Alaa Farouk to prioritise capacity-building in Egypt’s veterinary sector and improve its role in supporting public health and food safety.

The deal aims to deliver certified training opportunities for veterinary graduates and practitioners, covering cutting-edge techniques in diagnostics, modern analytical methods, zoonotic disease prevention, and international food quality standards.
