Honda’s consolidated sales revenue falls in Q2 ’25

Honda Motor Co. reported on Wednesday a 1.2 per cent decrease in consolidated sales revenue for the three months ended June 30, 2025, totalling JPY 5,340.2 billion compared to the same period last year.

The decline was primarily driven by lower sales revenue in the financial services business and adverse foreign currency translation effects, partially offset by increased revenue in the automobile segment.

Operating profit dropped 49.6 per cent to JPY 244.1 billion year-on-year, mainly due to the impact of tariffs and negative currency fluctuations. This was partially mitigated by increased profit attributable to higher sales volumes.

Profit before income taxes declined 47.7 per cent to JPY 292.3 billion, while profit attributable to owners of the parent fell 50.2 per cent to JPY 196.6 billion compared to the prior-year period, as stated in the release.
