Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly higher on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 grew 0.38 per cent to 34,974.84 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 fell 0.15 per cent to 3,452.53 points.
- The EGX35-LV index rose 0.11 per cent to 3,840.92 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70 added 0.20 per cent, to 10,612.7 points.
- The EGX100 index gained 0.22 per cent to 14,065.78 points.
The total market capitalisation reached 2,494,452,671,612 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with a total of 94,060,155 Egyptian pounds and 7,392,342,147 Egyptian pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 7,486,402,302 Egyptian pounds.

- Shares of Alexandria New Medical Centre jumped 19.99 per cent to 50.130 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Wadi Kom Ombo Land Reclamation climbed 19.85 per cent to 255.990 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Mohandes Insurance surged 12.03 per cent to 25.790 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers
- Shares of El Kahera El Watania Investment plunged 8.52 per cent to 77.490 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Alexandria National Company for Financial Investment sank 7.13 per cent to 65.110 Egyptian pounds a share.
- Shares of Saudi Egyptian Investment and Finance dived 5.82 per cent to 160.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
