Egypt opens $11m Mansour Filters factory to boost local production

Egypt has inaugurated on Thursday the $11 million Mansour Filtres Factory in the 10th of Ramadan City, a major project designed to localise production, increase the local component, and reduce reliance on imports. Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly opened the new facility, which has an annual production capacity of 15 million filtres for various vehicles and industrial applications.

Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of Mansour Group, said the company is pursuing a long-term strategy to develop Egypt’s automotive sector. He noted that the factory represents a key step toward increasing local content and enhancing the national industry’s export competitiveness.

Built to meet international quality standards, the plant was designed with environmental sustainability in mind, including energy-efficient systems and a quality testing laboratory to ensure operational excellence. Mansour added that the group aims to export 35 per cent of its total production by 2027, reinforcing Egypt’s industrial and export capabilities.
