Egypt’s banks to close on 7 May for Labour Day – CBE

The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced on Tuesday that work will be suspended across all banks operating in Egypt on Thursday, 7 May 2026, in observance of Labour Day.

The CBE said that work is set to resume on Sunday morning, 10 May 2026.
