Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed in the green area on Sunday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30, climbed by 1.91 per cent, to 54,628.68 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33, jumped by 2.25 per cent to 5,888.49 points.
- The index EGX35-LV soared by 1.73 per cent to 5,978.55 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 1.40 per cent to 14,702.74 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 1.72 per cent to 20,553.51 points.
The total market cap reached 3,800,372,954,811 Egyptian pounds.
Egyptians and Arabs were net sellers with a total of 16,908,129 Egyptian pounds and 168,964,469 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, the non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 185,872,597 pounds.
Top gainers on Sunday
- The shares of Alexandria Pharmaceuticals surged by 19.81 per cent, closing at 1,173.650 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of Cairo Educational Services rose by 14.64 per cent, reaching 75.720 Egyptian pounds per share.
- The shares of El-Nile Co. For Pharmaceuticals And Chemical Industries went up by 11.46 per cent to close at 176.000 Egyptian pounds a share.
Top losers on Sunday
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of South Valley Cement -1 went down by 23.42 per cent to close at 2.060 Egyptian pounds a share.
- The shares of Creast Mark For Contracting And Real Estate Development dropped by 3.89 per cent to close at 0.815 per cent a share.
- The shares of Subscription Rights Of Alexandria New Medical Center -2 sank by 3.79 per cent, to close at 3.79 Egyptian pounds a share.
