Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Tuesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 went up by 0.95 per cent to 52,374.8 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 added 0.28 per cent to 5,820.55 points.
- The index EGX35-LV gained 0.49 per cent to 6,095.52 points.
- The SMEs index, EGX70 rose by 1.54 per cent, to 15,580.61 points.
- The EGX100 index leaped by 1.31 per cent, to 21,458.81 points.
The total market cap reached 3,761,999,634,131 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with a total of 4,369,499,384 pounds and 14,899,326,663 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, Egyptians were net sellers with 19,268,826,046 pounds.
Top gainers
- The shares of Tycoon Holding Company For Financial Investments went up by 19.97 per cent to 18.620 pounds a share.
- The shares of Arabia Investments Holding rose by 19.58 per cent to close at 0.458 pounds a share.
- The shares of International Co For Investment & Development jumped by 13.07 per cent, closing at 6.920 pounds.
Top losers
- The shares of El Shams Housing & Urbanization dropped by 4.15 per cent to 12.940 pounds at closing.
- The shares of Ceramic & Porcelain fell by 2.71 per cent to close at 25.490 pounds a share.
- The shares of CI Capital Holding For Financial Investments sank by 2.31 per cent, closing at 11.820 pounds a share.
