Egypt’s roads holding company revenue rises 21.3% in FY 2024/25

Egypt’s Holding Company for Roads and its subsidiaries posted revenue of about 11.5 billion Egyptian pounds in the fiscal year ended 30 June, 2025, up 21.3 per cent from a year earlier. Shareholders also approved increasing the company’s issued capital to 1.5 billion pounds from 1 billion pounds.

The figures were announced at the company’s ordinary and extraordinary general assembly meetings on Wednesday, chaired by Transport Minister Kamel El-Wazir. The holding company’s standalone revenue rose to 908.5 million pounds from 589.8 million pounds a year earlier.

The meeting also reviewed progress on major infrastructure projects, including the Dairut Axis, Oteish Bridge, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) stations, marine works at Port Tawfiq, Damietta, and Alexandria ports, Taba Seaport, as well as railway projects, high-speed electric rail stations, and industrial zones.

El-Wazir called for round-the-clock work on projects, regional expansion and wider use of asphalt recycling technologies to cut costs and support sustainability.
