Egypt’s stock market (EGX) closed mostly green on Wednesday.
- The benchmark index, EGX30 rose 0.29 per cent to 54,659.57 points.
- The Shariah index, EGX33 surged by 1.05 per cent to 6,326.53 points.
- The EGX35-LV index gained 1.01 per cent to 6,690.43 points
- The SMEs index, EGX70 dropped by 0.16 per cent to 19,765.34 points.
- The EGX100 index advanced by 0.15 per cent to 25,862.74 points.
The total market cap reached 4,092,621,124,185 Egyptian pounds.
Arabs and non-Arab foreigners were net buyers, with 1,665,985,205 pounds and 12,095,953,015 pounds, respectively. Meanwhile, Egyptians were net sellers with a total of 13,761,938,220 pounds.

- The shares of Lotus For Agricultural Investments And Development went up by 19.90 per cent to 0.747 pounds a share.
- The shares of Mohandes Insurance climbed by 15.13 per cent to 35.000 pounds a share.
- The shares of Alexandria Flour Mills rose by 10.58 per cent to 231.990 pounds a share.
Top losers
- The shares of Glaxo Smith Kline dropped by 20.00 per cent to 331.440 pounds a share.
- The shares of Arabian Metal Industries And Industrial Investments sank by 4.79 per cent to 13.710 pounds a share.
- The shares of Extracted Oils went down by 4.51 per cent to 12.700 pounds a share.
