EGX closes mostly green on 11 August

Egypt’s stock market (EGX) mostly green on Tuesday.

  • The benchmark index, EGX30, went down by 0.09 per cent to 54,829.32 points.
  • The Shariah index, EGX33, advanced by 0.76 per cent to 6,460.79 points.
  • The index EGX35-LV jumped by 0.40 per cent to 6,832.29 points.
  • The SMEs index, EGX70, rose by 2.71 per cent to 21,918.45 points.
  • The EGX100 index leaped by 2.36 per cent, to 28,171.92 points.

The total market cap reached 4,206,514,795,313 Egyptian pounds.

Egyptians and Arabs and were net sellers, with a total of 4,167,512,393 Egyptian pounds and 8,674,789,430 pounds, respectively. On the other hand, non-Arab foreigners were net buyers with 12,842,301,824 pounds.

Top gainers

  1. The shares of Misr Cement (Qena) went up by 20.00 per cent to 243.600 pounds a share.
  2. The shares of Misr Beni Suef Cement rose by 20.00 per cent to close at 318.010 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Arabian Cement Company jumped by 20.00 per cent, closing at 76.440 pounds.

Top losers

  1. The shares of Arab Pharmaceuticals dropped by 6.65 per cent to 318.410 pounds at closing.
  2. The shares of Ismailia National Food Industries fell by 5.88 per cent to close at 168.000 pounds a share.
  3. The shares of Egyptians Real Estate Fund Certificates sank by 5.66 per cent, closing at 19.650 pounds a share.
