Egypt’s stocks end mostly higher on Wednesday, 02 Sept 2026

Egyptian shares ended mostly higher on Wednesday, with the benchmark EGX30 index rising 0.45 per cent.

The EGX30, which tracks the country’s largest and most actively traded companies, ended at 55,679.72 points. The EGX33 Shariah index rose 0.11 per cent to 6,566.37, while the EGX35-LV gained 0.08 per cent to 6,932.34.

Small- and mid-cap stocks were mixed, with the EGX70 index falling 0.44 per cent to 21,225.15 points and the broader EGX100 index edging up 0.03 per cent to 27,744.78 points.

Market capitalisation stood at 4.380 trillion Egyptian pounds.

Egyptian and Arab investors were net buyers, recording net purchases of 13.679 billion pounds and 367.599 million pounds, respectively.

Non-Arab foreign investors were net sellers, with net sales of 14.047 billion pounds.
