Egypt’s Suez Canal Authority (SCA) signed on Monday a cooperation protocol with the Yacht Club de Monaco to promote its yacht marinas in Ismailia and Egypt’s North Coast and attract new clients, strengthening Egypt’s position as a global yacht tourism destination.
The protocol covers cooperation in marketing, innovation, and sustainability, as well as the application of best practices in resource management and marine environmental protection.
The agreement builds on a partnership between the two sides established through a cooperation protocol signed last year, which covered marketing and the exchange of technical and administrative expertise.
The Yacht Club de Monaco is a major player in the global yacht industry, bringing together more than 2,500 members from 80 nationalities. In recent years, the SCA has participated in the Monaco Yacht Show to promote its marina services and establish direct communication channels with yacht clients and specialised companies.
Following the signing, a delegation from the Yacht Club de Monaco visited El Alamein Marina at kilometre 92 on the North Coast to explore its facilities and services for yacht visitors and discuss potential areas of cooperation.
