The Federation of Egyptian Banks (FEB) is meeting today with the Italian trade mission currently visiting Egypt. FEB’s meeting aims to enhance means of cooperation and discuss the available funding opportunities for Italian investments in Egypt.
The delegation, headed by Carlo Calenda -Italian Deputy Minister of Economic Development, arrived Egypt on February 21, 2015, for a 4-days visit.
The Italian delegation is the largest economic team as it encompasses 84 representatives of Italian firms working in sectors of industry and trade, investing in projects of infrastructure, oil and gas, manufacturing industries, and energy besides representatives of Italy’s biggest banks.
During the visit, the two parties would agree on number of important economic projects as well as raising fundamental cooperation between the two countries.
Italy is one of the important Egypt’s commercial partners and major source for foreign investments.
Moreover, the delegation would participate in the Egyptian-Italian Business Forum and visit the site of the New Suez Canal project, which seizes the lion’s share of Italian business concerns.
