Delta Insurance: Written Premiums Register EGP 102.5 Mln In FY 2011/12

Delta Life Insurance Co. had EGP 102.5 million in written premiums in group and individual insurance sectors in FY 2011/2012 ended on June 30th, up from EGP 84 million in FY 2010/2011.

The Company had EGP 78.5 million in group insurance written premiums and EGP 24 million in individual insurance written premiums. Medical insurance premiums registered EGP 48 million, said Ayman El-Alfy, general manager of Delta Life Insurance.

El-Alfy said he cannot predict the future performance of the Company as the political fluctuations highly affect the economy.

The Company targets to launch a new product in the current month which is the double pension service that was approved by the Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA), he added.

The Company succeeded in signing a contract with Al Watany Bank to insure borrowers of personal loans against death and personal accidents.
