Orange nurses Egypt losses in H1 as sales surge
French telecoms company Orange’s losses in Egypt declined to 252.5 million Egyptian pounds ($14.1 million) during the first half of the year, consolidated financial indicators showed on Wednesday.
Losses reached 1.1 billion pounds during the first half of 2017.
Orange Egypt’s sales rose to 6.6 billion pounds, compared with 6.12 billion pounds.
The French company made profits worth 15.9 million in Egypt for the three months to March, opposed to losses worth 300.6 million last year.
