Travco Go. Loses EGP 1.25 bln, Dismisses 100 Employees

Amal Al Torgoman, general manager of corporate sector in Travco Group, revealed that the company achieved profits in 2011 with EGP 750 million, compared to EGP 2 billion in 2010. She explained that the company now can’t bear any negligence from any worker; this came during commenting on dismissing 100 employees and drivers, as a way of lessening expenses.

She said the company has overmanning, so what is happening is a process of choosing the best to continue work.

A number of workers, on their side, said they were unfairly dismissed, and there are no convincing reasons.

On the other hand, the general manager of transport Companies in Travco Go., Amgad Al Gendy said each dismissed worker has made a mistake.

He referred that the tourism sector now is seeking cohesion during the crisis the country lives.
