Egyptian bourse closed Tuesday for the new Islamic year
There will be no trading on the Egyptian stock exchange on Tuesday, 11 September, due to the beginning of the new Islamic year 1440, according to a statement by the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Trading activity will return to Egypt’s stock exchange on Wednesday, 12 September, the statement added.
The latest data on EGX today shows a decline in both EGX30 and EGX70 by -0.34 percent and -0.01 percent respectively, with a market capitalisation of 872.6 billion pounds.
