Chinese carrier Sichuan Airlines operated its first flight to Cairo International Airport on Tuesday with 230 Chinese tourists on board.
The flight, which arrived from Chengdu city, comes within the framework of Egypt-China fruitful cooperation in the civil aviation field.
The arrival ceremony was attended by Chairman of Cairo Airport Company Ahmed Fawzy, head of Egypt’s Tourism Authority Ahmed Youssef, the Chinese ambassador in Cairo in addition to several officials of the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
Sichuan Airlines is set to operate two flights per week to Cairo on Tuesdays and Thursdays with the aim of developing Chinese tourism to Egypt.
