Arab Contractors has resolved the problem of employees at the administration of engineering consultancy, following their meeting with Eng.Ibrahim Mahlab last Tuesday.
Effat Abdullah, the company’s media spokesman stated that Arab Contractors has not witnessed intense labor strikes after the revolution. He added that the company gets rid of most of the problems of its employees by offering them a pay increase, pointing out that the average salary in the company is high and that the company has signed permanent contracts of employment with about 20.000 employees some months before the revolution.
He affirmed that the company has raised the salaries and offered a premium of 15%, stressing that his company treats the employees on an equal basis and that the salaries and bonuses are distributed according to the productivity of each department.
On the other hand, the company has recently opened a new branch in Libya to continue the projects which were under construction before the outbreak of the Libyan Revolution. It also seeks to obtain a share of construction projects in Libya which will be carried out at a cost of $ 1 billion.
The company added that the Libyan market is full of investment opportunities in the field of contracting, construction, and hotels, pointing out that the company’s branch in Libya carries out projects such as public contacting, infrastructure, building bridges, pipe fitting, maintenance, sanitation, water treatment plants, ports, real estate investment,tourism, and construction, engineering, and electrical projects.
