Egyptian billionaire Sawiris announces more new investments in Sudan

Egyptian billionaire businessman Naguib Sawiris said on Wednesday he is planning to inject new investments in Sudan soon.

Sawiris announced his plan on his personal Twitter account, saying “I have invested in Sudan; I love the country and its people, and I will return back soon to invest once again.”

He did not disclose the time and size of investments planned for Sudan.

The Egyptian business tycoon vowed in earlier tweet last March during Sudanese President Omar Al-Bashir’s visit to Cairo to be at the “forefront of investors” in Sudan. He said: “We will be at the forefront of investors in the brotherly Sudan, God willing.”
