El-Gazzar inspects New Cairo’s luxury social housing project
Egyptian newly-appointed Housing of Minister Asem El-Gazzar inspected on Thursday a luxury social housing project, named JANNA in New Cairo, with investments of 3.5 billion Egyptian pounds ($199.6 million).
“The project will encompass executing 8,760 units, including 365 buildings with spaces ranging between 100 and 150 square metres for each unit,” according to New Cairo Development Authority’s head Adel El-Naggar.
Also, the Housing Minister El-Gazzar inspected the implementation of the state’s Iskan Misr project for medium-income citizens, with total investments exceeding 5.5 billion pounds, El-Naggar added.
“Iskan Misr is set to include 16,808 units with spaced ranging between 106 and 118 square metres for each unit,” he said.
On 13 February 2018, Asem El-Gazzar was sworn-in before Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to assume office, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement.
El-Gazzar served as Deputy Housing Minister since January 2018. He graduated from the Faculty of Urban Planning at Cairo University and chaired General Authority for Urban Planning.
