Sisi Oks loan to build four desalination stations in South Sinai

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi issued on Thursday decree approving a loan agreement between the Egyptian government and the Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development to build four sea water desalination stations in South Sinai governorate.

The 15-million-dinar deal was signed in the Egyptian resort of Sharm el Sheikh on 8 December, 2018.

The decree was published in the official Gazette on Thursday.

The Kuwait Fund has supported 52 projects in Egypt with $3.46 billion since inception.
