Egypt’s trade exchange with Algeria rose 24.3 percent in the first half of 2019 to $429.2 million from $345.4 million in the same comparable period last year.
In a recent report on the Egyptian-Algerian trade ties, the Egyptian Commercial Services said that that a surplus of $159.2 million was in favour of Egypt.
Egypt’s non-oil exports to Algeria went up 23.6 percent in the first half of 2019 to $293.7 million compared to $237.7 million during the same period in 2018.
In the meantime, Egyptian imports from Algeria jumped 55 percent to reach $135 million from $86.8 million last year.
