Saudi King lays foundation stone of Diriyah Gate flagship
Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz laid the foundation stone of Diriyah Gate flagship, which aims to restore the historical area as a cultural heritage project.
Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said the project aimed at restoring the historical area to its ancient past in the 18th century in order to become a local and international tourist destination.
It said King Salman witnessed a visual presenation of the Diriyah seven Gates.
SPA said the 64 billion riyals ($17 billion) seven-square-kilometer project provided five areas for assemblies and explorations like squares, museums, art centers, more than 100 restaurants and shops.
