UK PM Boris Johnson released from hospital as he continues recovery from coronavirus
U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been released from the hospital after a week that saw three days being spent in intensive care.
Johnson will not immediately be returning to work, but rather will continue his recovery from coronavirus pandemic at Chequers, the prime minister’s country house, according to a statement made on Sunday from his office.
On March 27, Johnson, 55, tested positive for the virus after experiencing “mild symptoms,”. Yet, later on April 6, the UK prime minister has been moved to intensive care at St Thomas’ Hospital in London after symptoms “worsened”.
Later on April 10, Johnson was moved out of intensive care and back onto a hospital ward.
