Saudi Arabia, France to boost cooperation in nuclear energy, electricity sectors
Saudi Energy Minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman and his French counterpart, Agnes Pannier-Runacher, signed a Memorandum of Understanding to cooperate in the field of energy, with a focus on clean energy from renewable resources.
The two sides also agreed on Saturday to undertake joint efforts to promote energy efficiency and cooperation in the field of nuclear energy, within a peaceful and safe framework, radioactive waste management and nuclear applications.
Both countries also agreed to cooperate in promoting climate change technologies and solutions, including carbon capture, use and storage from hard-to-mitigate emission sectors, such as the cement, aviation, marine and petrochemical sectors.
