Egypt’s Arab Contractors (AC) and China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) signed a cooperation protocol on Sunday to form a joint alliance for project development in Egypt and across Africa, the Cabinet said in a statement.
Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouly, who witnessed the signing, said the deal underscores Cairo’s push to deepen strategic ties with Beijing and expand cooperation amid strengthening bilateral relations.
Minister of Housing Sherif El-Sherbiny said the agreement is designed to deliver a full-service experience in the Central Business District of Egypt’s New Administrative Capital, benefitting residents, entrepreneurs, and visitors while preserving state investments.
The partnership is seen as a pilot model for integrated urban management, with plans to replicate it in other new cities as part of Egypt’s strategy to adopt sustainable governance and performance-based systems.
